Private Swim Lessons-Request Application
This is an interest-only application. After completion, the aquatics director at your branch will contact you regarding scheduling and payment information. Please allow up to four-six weeks minimum for the start time of private lessons. Please be aware summer months are more difficult to schedule private lessons due to high demand for group lessons.
Lessons are taught by certified swim instructors. You may request the instructor of your choice. We will try our best to honor requests, but cannot make guarantees.
Payment must be made prior to the start of the first lesson.
Cancellation Policy: Participants must notify the instructor via phone at least 24 hours in advance of a scheduled class. If the instructor cannot be reached, please leave a message with your branch’s front desk. If notice is not given to the instructor before the cancellation, the lesson will not be made up.

Fort Mill YMCA at the Complex
Thank you for your interest in Private Swim Lessons at the Fort Mill Complex YMCA.
We are extremely passionate about teaching water safety and demonstrating how the pool can become a fun and safe place for everyone to enjoy. During your swimmer’s session, they will be working with an instructor assigned to them to give them the individual guidance they need to exceed their potential.
Supervision: Parents are required to stay on deck at the pool for ages 13 and under during the entire lesson. Please stay engaged and nearby during the entire lesson, in case your child needs to use the restroom or is having issues during the class that will require your assistance.
Please note, we do not begin Private Lessons until swimmers are 5 years of age.
An instructor and/or Coordinator will be in touch within 4-6 weeks to confirm your availability and schedule lessons.
For questions or concerns, please reach out to our Swim Lesson Coordinator, Thomas Drake, at [email protected].
